Kuppelkupp: Kapittel

If One Keeps Walking / Hagit Yakira Dance

19. Sep 2019 KL. 18:30 - 21:00

Come join a rather unusual dance performance taking place both around the Mosvannet lake and inside the art museum (it ends inside the art museum). You will be able to enjoy the dance while reflecting on the beautiful nature and our day to day use of it. Remember to dress according to the weather!

In collaberation with the Kapittel festival we invite you to the performance If One Keeps Walking/Hagit Yakira Dance. This is a dance performance contemplating Norwegians love for walking in nature. Choreographer Hagit Yakira is fascinated by the hiking culture in all its aspects, from the meditative qualities of walking in nature to the social aspects of enjoying nature together with other people. In this performance more than 40 dancers, professionals, students and people from the community, are joining her in a dance inspired by walking around the lake.

NOTE: If you have not bought a ticket online please meet up at Stavanger Art Museum at 6 pm. Here you can by tickets and get information about the performance that starts at 6.30 pm.

The project is supported by Tou Scene and Regional arena for samtidsdans (RAS).

Kuppelkupp, held one Thursday a month, puts the focus on art and social interaction. The programme includes performances, temporary art projects, lectures, conversations and debates. The museum’s glass cupola provides an excellent atmosphere with music, a bar and good food from our collaborating partners.
