Images from the Universe

Lecture by Anders Tranberg

20. Feb 2020 KL. 18:00 - 19:00

Several of Jone Kvie's art works are inspired by phenomena from outer space. The United States launched the Hubble Space Telescope (named after American astronomer Edwin Powell Hubble) in 1990 and it opened new possibilities to photograph cosmic phenomena.

What does these photos look like and how are they used by the scientists? We have invited professor Anders Tranberg from the institute for physics and mathematics at the University of Stavanger to give the lecture "Images from the Universe".

The lecture is part of the programme for the Exhibition Jone Kvie, Here, here

The lecture will be given in Danish. Duration: 45 min.
